The Gestalt relapse is a phenomenon that can happen due to defects in the Gestalt transformation process, which is what happened with Yonah and the other survivors. However, the Replicants started to become self-aware, and that’s where problems started. Gestalt Nier, on the other hand, went on to help the organization with stabilizing other Gestalts and keeping them from relapsing.
